Group exhibition by Claire Efstathiou, Natasha Sabeva, Mary-Lynne Stadler, Stephanie Wood

Forza 9 Gallery, Polis Chrysochous
6 – 27 February 2010

Despite the truth that lies in one of the most read advertising slogans in Cyprus “300 days of sunshine”, we have to cope with the remaining 65 days that have less or no sunshine, rain, early evenings forcing us to stay in our cold houses with no heart- and body-warming places to go and wondering what to do with all that time on our hands.

This probably explains why this is the perfect season for evaluating the events of the past year, making resolutions and new plans for the year that has just begun and contemplate issues in life in general.

So there are two reasons why we expect all of you to attend the opening of the group exhibition in FORZA 9 Gallery in Polis Chrysochous on the 6th of February at 2PM. First of all the carefully chosen and diversified selection of contemplative works that suit so well the spirit of the season and secondly the warm atmosphere we create – and not only doing so by serving mulled wine - to enable you to spend some quality time with like-minded people.

The works on display are Mandalas (circular patterns that represent wholeness - a cosmic diagram that reminds us of our relation to the infinite) by Claire Efstathiou, Christian icons by Natasha Sabeva, Zen-like abstract prints by Mary-Lynne Stadler and colourful paintings of ethnic and other subjects reflecting both the natural as well as the spiritual world by Stephanie Wood.

4 Artists: Contemplative Works will start on Saturday the 6th of February at 2PM until the 27th of February. Open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 3pm.

Forza 9 Gallery is located in the centre of Polis Chrysochous, just behind Chix Chox Restaurant and next to Petrides Car Rental. Forza 9 Gallery is open Mo – Sa from 10AM – 3PM and by appointment. Call for more information: 99127428 or visit www.artgallery-forza9.com
