Tramba: audiovisual conspiracy

A futuristic journey through a unique amalgamation of sound and image: funky-jazzy beats and dreamy nostalgic tunes, reminiscent of late 60s psychedelic and mid-90s trip-hop, fused with a backdrop of real-time visuals, from abstract computer generated imagery & animation to video diaries and shorts…

'Tramba audiovisual conspiracy' is an innovative project that has been formed over the past year by a group of talented young musicians, composers and visual artists from Cyprus' surfacing independent scene. Its core members have previously performed together as well as solo and last year took part in 'Ichitikes Technes' at the Pantheon Gallery.

The fundamental drive and energy behind the project clearly lies in its continued openness to a mix of styles & an evolving identity by collectively inviting new artists from the local scene.
The group currently consists of 8, both recognised and emerging artists, based in Cyprus and abroad, who bring a rich combination of backgrounds and interests to the project:
Markos Papageorgiou (music technology / sampling, processing), Orestis Lambrou (cinematographer & trumpet musician), Demetris Ioannides (music processing, visuals & interactive installations), Constantinos Taliotis (video artist, filmmaker, visuals), Andreas Neokleous (multi-instrumentalist, real time processing), Vrahimis Andreas (guitarist, real time processing), Christofides Yiannis (keyboards, multi-instrumentalist), Christou Sotiris (sound engineer, multi-instrumentalist).

Tramba recently played the 'Festival of Alternative Stage Act' at Entropia, Athens, as well as various other events and venues in Greece and are, as you read, conspiring to bring their distinctive act home with an exclusive performance being planned for Lefkosia in the coming months... Watch this space!

A compilation of 10 collaborative and solo tracks by members of 'Tramba audiovisual conspiracy' has been released, with title of the same name.
